The Sidi Ifni Province in partnership and cooperation with the Guelmim -Oued Noun region council, the regional council of Sidi Ifni, and Sidi Ifni Collective council, have organized the Sidi Ifni festival ” festival of valuting territorial products and tourism development”, which is hold from August 18 to 22, 2023.
The year’s Festival has begun with the regional exhibition of handicrafts products and agriculture. The opening ceremony is attended by the governor of the province of Sidi Ifni Mr. Hassan Sidqi, Mr. Rachid Battah, the Head of Collective council of Sidi Ifni and the president of the initiatives association of Ifni.
On Saturday Morning 19th, 08, 2023, within the framework of Sidi Ifni Festival, the ifni initiatives association have organized a symposium by the presence of Mr. Hassan Sidqi the governor of the Province of Sidi Ifni and Mr. Lahcen Belfkih, president of Regional Council, Mr. Rachid Battah, president of the community council of Sidi Ifni, Mr. Dida Bougantar, the Regional Delegate of the National Office of Fishing in Sidi Ifni, and the representatives of decentralized interests, security, military and paramilitary interests, and civil society actors.
The symposium had included the the three sessions, commencing by the the first one that deals with the valuation of field mainstay for sustainable development. The second session was about the sectoral efforts in evaluating filed products, besides the third and final session have mentioned the valuation of marine products as promising prospects for sustainable marine development, by several network partners Entrepreneurship for Social Economy, Ibn Zohr University, the Moroccan Network for Social and Solidarity Economy, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture in Sidi Ifni, the Social Development Agency in the Guelmim-Oued Noun region, the Regional Directorate of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy in the Guelmim-Ouadnoun region, the Fisheries Delegation in Sidi Ifni and the Power Fish company specialized in farms Aquariums in Sidi Ifni.
On 20th, August as the day when in which the resistance family, the Liberation Army, and the inhabitants of the Sidi Ifni region celebrate the 70th anniversary of the revolution of the glorious king and people. The region of Sidi Ifni and the president of the regional council of Sidi Ifni and the president of the communal council of Sidi Ifni and the president of the local scientific council and the regional representative of the resistance and the Liberation Army and Mr. Basha of the city and the professors who lectured at the symposium and the heads of the decentralized departments and the security, military and civil interests and the members of the resistance and the Liberation Army in the province of Sidi Ifni and civil society events.
This cultural and artistic event has also known the activity of Tbourida, that embodies the cultural heritage. Additionally the rythemic beats of music throughout the festival creat an atmosphere that is filled with energy and enthusiasm by presence of several artists including ( Aicha Tachnouit, Mousse Maher, groups of musicians, Riad Al-Aoumrr , Aouad Ait Baamran….) . The festival was concluded by the ceremony of honoring of prizes, that was supervised by the governor of the province of Sidi Mr. Hassan Sidqi, to the winners of the various competitions, cultural and sports activities who participated in the festival.
